Samantha opted out of Mani Ratnam's Kadal

Samantha, who is a busy bee shuttling between Kollywood and Tollywod has reportedly opted out of Mani Ratnam's Kadal.

Sources say that the actress faced some date issues and was pre-occupied with other venture forcing her to take the decision'.

She is now acting in Rajamouli's Naan Ee, Gautham Menon's Neethane En Pon Vasantham, Telugu films Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and an untitled project with Nandini Reddy in which Siddharth plays the lead.

Samantha could not be contacted to confirm this news. Sources say efforts are on to find an alternative.
