Dronamraju Ravi Kumar, youth president, AP Brahmana Seva Samakhya, says, "Some of the dialogues in the trailer are very clearly against the Brahmin community. They are insulting our peaceful protests last year. It's evident that the director has incorporated these dialogues into the trailer deliberately — Surekha Vani, the same actress who mouthed the offensive dialogues in Denikaina Ready, takes a dig at the protests we held last year, in this trailer. It is unfortunate that the Censor Board is certifying these movies without any objections."
The community have now submitted a memorandum to the Censor Board, the AP Film Chamber of Commerce and also to the state government, demanding that the objectionable dialogues be removed before the release of the film. When contacted, Thammareddy Bharadwaj, president of the AP Film Chamber of Commerce, says, "I have not watched the trailer yet. Only after I watch it, I will comment."
Meanwhile, the Balupu director, Malineni Gopichand says there is nothing offensive in the trailer. "There is no issue here. We don't want to hurt anybody. We just wanted to conclude that controversy in a positive manner in this movie. In fact, we even invited the members of the Brahmin community to watch the movie before it gets censored. I can assure that everyone will appreciate the film after watching it," he says.
