Simbu Hansika to Tie the Knot Soon

Tamil actor Simbu and Hansika have officially revealed that they are in love with each other. Over the past few months, there have been several rumours about the two actors and several newspapers have been reporting that they might get married soon. Now, vexed up with all the unwarranted attention on their love life, both Hansika and Simbu have openly stated that they are indeed in love with each other and requested everyone to not spread any more rumors.

“Been hearing to many rumours abt my personal life, so jus wana clear.yes!I’m seeing Str:)n hence I wouldnt like 2talk abt my personal life ,” Hansika posted on Twitter. On the other hand, Simbu, who has become a popular choice to croon hit numbers in select few Telugu films, confessed that the decision on their marriage will be taken by their respective families.

“Yes I’m am with hansika and right now she is doing really good and marriage will b decided by our family … Hope u will respect our privacy,” he said. Since both of them are quite busy with their respective projects, it’s not yet clear when they might get married. Currently, Hansika is part of Manchu family’s multi-starrer film and she has few other Tamil films in hand.

Karthi is Singing a Song along with Premji in the Film

Venkat Prabhu is leaving no stones unturned for his next flick 'Biriyani' starring Kathi, Hansika and Premji. The director seems to be adding something or the other every now n then to spice up his 'Biriyani' and the latest is that the lead actor Karthi is singing a song along with Premji in the film.

The recording was done in the presence of Premgi Amaren as well, who is singing along with Karthi. Premgi has sung in quite a few films earlier. Set to music by Yuvan, Venkat feels the song will be a mega hit in Biriyani.

Venkat has praised Karthi's singing skills and he tweeted "Karthi is a cool singer! V always jam up isaignani songs in da sets! Karthi & @Premgiamaren did a super job! Super 3some track!! @Raja_Yuvan"

Premji tweeted "Karthi and me singing the future super duper ultimate mega hit song in BIRIYANI. Me and Karthi getting blessings from @dirvenkatprabhu and taking singing class from him."

Karthi becomes the latest actors to join the singers bandwagon after Kamal, Vijay, Dhanush, Simbu, Vikram, Arun Vijay and others.

Dhanush has had to Face Such a Situation

Being the son-in-law of one of the biggest stars of Tamil films comes with its perks and often, demerits. Recently Dhanush has had to face such a situation and a question. He was asked if he would like to something like Rajnikanth's role in Endhiran.

Dhanush was polite with his answer, however. "A role like Endhiran can only be carried out by someone with the caliber of a superstar and he was the perfect fit for that. I do not think I can do a role like that," said Dhanush.

The national award winning actor is currently busy completing his ongoing ventures like Mariyaan and Raanjhnaa.

Irandaam Ulagam Currently Shooting in Hyderabad

There's some news about Irandaam Ulagam! Selvaraghavan and his crew are currently shooting in Hyderabad for the final schedule of the flick. Arya, Anushka and Selva will be working for 20 more days to complete it. A source in the unit says, "The team will be shooting in some scenic locations in and around Rajahmundry for the last schedule. Selva has picked a few hilly locales to give the final touches to Irandaam Ulagam."

We hear that while Anushkha is playing the role of a bold village girl in the second part of the film, she will be enacting the role of a doctor in the first. It is said that she is like a second hero in the film, with her character having equal importance to Arya's. The crew has shot a major chunk of scenes in Georgia as well, which is actually the 'second world' in the film. Interestingly, all the characters in that schedule except Arya and Anushkha were native Georgians. Once the shoot is wrapped up, the director will be working on the CG work alone for about four months, it is heard.

Mandy Takhar Being Roped in to Spice up the Film

Vekant Prabhu's 'Biriyani' starring Karthi and Hansika Motwani has been creating a lot of excitement ever since it was started. Looks like 'Biriyani' is all ready to be cooked with sizzling UK beauty, Mandy Takhar being roped in to spice up the film. The UK born actor has done a few Punjabi films and was noted for her hot bikini act in the Hindi flick Bamboo in which she did a hot number called Pinky Punjabi.

The audience could well be in for a heavy meal with Mandy Takhar in for a song along with Karthi and who could set the temperatures soaring!

Earlier it was reported that the director has reportedly approached Mayakkam Enna actress Richa Gangopadhyay to play the female lead. However the actress opted out of the project due to changes in role and script. The film's director was on the lookout for a heroine to replace Richa who walked out of the film, when she heard that Hansika is doing the main lead opposite Karthi.

Remember that even Hansika was roped in after a long wait, as Venkat wanted a Tamil speaking heroine and was keen on Nayanthara or a leading Bollywood heroine.

Aadhi and Gautham Karthik Next Movie 'Idi Minnal Kadhal'

Looks like Director Mysskin is ready to start his next flick starring Aadhi and Gautham Karthik tentatively titled 'Idi Minnal Kadhal'. The film is set to be a romantic entertainer following his action movie Mugamoodi. His last movie didn't do as well he would have expected and would be keen on giving a better film this time around.

Aadhi of Aravaan fame has been roped in to play the lead role. There were rumours that Mysskin might do a movie on cricket, but the filmmaker denied any such plans.

Aadhi is currently working on a movie with Tapsee, while Gautham Karthik is playing the lead role in Mani Rathnam's 'Kadal'.

Looks like Mysskin would have to wait for them to finish these work to join him.

Namitha Says I Play a Cop in the Film

Namitha is thrilled with the way things have been shaping up for her in the past few days. For one, her portrait photo, shot by celebrity photographer Karthik Srinivasan, was selected to showcase and demonstrate what is considered as 'Indian Beauty' by a Tokyo TV company. And then, she is also thrilled with the way her forthcoming Tamil-Telugu-Kannada trilingual, Ilamai Oonjal, has shaped up.

"It took three whole days for the news to sink in," says Namitha, "The news of my portrait photo being chosen by a Japanese channel came at a time when I needed a boost of confidence. I feel refreshed, and ready to take on the world."

Talking about her trilingual, she says, "I play a cop in the film, and recently wrapped up a schedule for the same. I've already performed stunt scenes in my earlier films, and slipping into the character of a cop was easy. Though I've not trained in martial arts, all the stunt choreographer with whom I've worked tell me I am a natural at it."

Meanwhile, Namitha has hired a personal trainer to help her lose weight. "I've a lot of muscle weight, and I've been asked to follow a special workout regime and diet. loved the way I looked in Billa, and I can't wait to get back into shape," she smiles.

Mani Ratnam from Shooting for his 'Kadal'

Mani Ratnam the perfectionist took the brave step along with cameraman Rajeev Menon and faced the gusty winds blowing at 80-100 kilometres per hour to get that natural tropical storm look for the climax of the film.

While cyclone Nilam got the city to a standstill, it couldn't stop Mani Ratnam from shooting for his 'Kadal' starring debutant Gautham Karthik, son of actor Karthik and debutant Thulasi Nair, daughter of Radha. The crew were shooting in the the coastal suburbs of Chennai in Kasimedu and Royapuram when the cyclone hit the east coast.

Arvind Swami one of the actors in Kadal tweeted: "Awesome experience of shooting in cyclonic weather in the sea for a sequence in Kadal."

A song 'Nenjukulley' from Kadal will be premiered by AR Rahman, who is the music director of the film, in the first episode of MTV Unplugged India: Season 2, scheduled to be telecast on November 3.
